Micheline-Joanne Durand

Micheline-Joanne Durand is a full professor in the Department of Administration and Educational Foundations at the Faculty of Education of the Université de Montréal. She is responsible for the professional programs in competency evaluation and director of the Laboratoire en évaluation des apprentissages et des compétences where she has supervised more than thirty graduate students for the past ten years. She is involved in the school, professional and governmental environments as well as in research and training in several universities around the world. She is also a member of the scientific committee of the international program APPRENDRE which works with 26 countries of the French-speaking world. In addition, she has published articles in scientific journals as well as two books published by Éditions Marcel Didier, which are intended for teachers and trainers in professional settings who are responsible for evaluation.

Mélissa Lemaire

Mélissa Lemaire holds an MBA from Laval University, M. Ed. in measurement and evaluation from Montreal University. She is currently doing her Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation also at Montreal University in collaboration with HEC Montreal. She also hold a BSC Biotechnology at University of Sherbrooke.

Melissa’s current research is focusing on training program evaluation, how we can measure informal learning and how it’s related to organizational effectiveness. She is accumulating experience in multiple program evaluations and impact studies. Melissa is also working in partnership with Blue Sky School, an innovative school in Ottawa, using mapping to assess and measure learning in a more holistic way.
